Argies Coffee Managing Director, Phil McArdle, shares a personal message as the company celebrates 20 years of great coffee, great customers and a phenomenal team.

Argie’s Coffee was roasted for the first time twenty years ago this week I started as sole trader on May 1st, 2000 and became a limited company exactly two years later.

It was a lonely and challenging in these early days, but our business model has not changed we sit behind and support catering managers, business owners to help them run and grow their business.

As Argies has grown over these past twenty years, I have been indebted to our magnificent staff who are the “life blood” of our business. Our simple philosophy of quality, second to none customer service and working hard are the pillars of our longevity, we are not perfect but when we make mistakes, we always put them right.

have changed over the years

The Argie’s coffee family does not only include our incredible committed staff but our suppliers and associates some who have been with us from the beginning making our company punch well above our weight.

Our most important commodity is our customers and they have and always will be put first, we have tried always to be there for them especially in emergencies whether it is a same day delivery or a loan of equipment we will “bust a gut” to make sure that their business runs seamlessly, and hopefully our customers know we have “got their backs”.

Unfortunately, this is not the time for a celebration as we know that lots of business are struggling so using our twenty years of experience and knowledge and observation into what makes a successful business, we are going to offer our customers and potential customers free help so they can hit the ground running when this crisis is over.

This will include free business advice and I will be happy to come and spend some time with you to see how we can improve your business to include free sales, technical and barista training. We will also make available our marketing and design teams so we can help you develop new menu’s and back these up with marketing materials.

We are also using this downtime to study the impact of this crisis on our industry, looking at new ways which people are consuming and delivering their daily beverages we have a number of new idea’s and different options for you as we start come out of the lockdown.

In these difficult times we will endeavour to help your business get out the other end of this crisis intact and in good shape so please if you feel we can help in anyway please do not hesitate to contact me.
