What does this qualification cover?
The qualification centres on coffee and in particular espresso, however it also incorporates filter coffee, tea, chocolate, frappes and smoothies. Four areas of learning are explored.
Barista Course
Level 1
- 6 hours over one day

- How to produce the range of drinks
- How to operate, care for and maintain machinery
- Customer service
- Practical Exam
Barista Course
Level 2
- 16 hours over two days
- Lunch Included
- The Background to the raw Materials
- How to produce the range of drinks
- How to operate, care for and maintain machinery
- Customer service
- Practical Exam
- Written Exam. The information is passed through a series of theory & practical sessions at our training facility in Bridgend, before practical and written assessments (W.A. level 2 only) take place.
On completion of the course you will receive a certificate and a wallet size card which you can keep with you to show you have the necessary skills to operate as a Barista.
